Our Response to KP George's Party Switch 

The Asian American Democrats of Texas strongly condemn indicted Fort Bend County Judge KP George's decision to abandon his party and his oath to represent the best interests of Fort Bend residents.

Texas Democrats have anticipated this announcement since Judge George's alleged criminal activities came to light. He has long valued political expediency over principle and has consistently distanced himself from the progressive values of the very community that elected and re-elected him. This final betrayal of the voters and supporters who once saw in him a symbol of representation is not a surprise. AADT agrees that Judge George's lived values align with a party known for indicted leaders.

Asian American Democrats across Texas remain steadfast in our mission to uplift true public servants who protect our communities and honor the trust placed in them. We will continue building power, organizing voters, and electing leaders who truly represent the voices of our community.
